Long may her memory live on.

Though there are those who despise/despised her; they should not celebrate the manner of her death for it forbears of dark days ahead. When a society accepts political assassination vs the ballot box as a means of change or of maintaining the status quo, it portends of civil strife leading to civil war.

In the case of Pakistan, it can only mean many more years of USA supported autocratic rule. I may as well sing the praises of dictators everywhere if I am ever to accept that a military dictatorship is the only option for a country:

Long live Musharaf!
Long live Kim Jong-Il!
Long live all dictators everywhere!

They seem to be the accepted solution for countries in need of true leadership- of an iron-fist.

I disagree. Democracy may not be the perfect solution, but it is a better source of freedom than any known system in place. Let the people decide if they wish a king, a dictator, a representative federalist republic, a socialist system. It is the only way I can ever accept a theocracy, a monarchy, a dictatorship, or an autocratic ruler of any kind...otherwise, I accept that the power of might, makes right. Should the people stand up and rebel, by any means necessary, it is their just right.

The quest for freedom may stagnante but it can never be obliterated by acts of despotism, by cruelty, by torture and by acts of murderous cowards. The will of a people can only be stunted for so long before violence and death forces change.

Should any of those who hold dear the words of the Prophet Mohammed- delivered unto him by the Allah himself- believe that injustice, cowardice, and murder are the best ways to extinguish ideas; should they believe that reckless acts of violence are solutions, then damn them. If Mohammed himself were to ever support such a notion, then damn him too.

If I were to believe that Allah would ever support such a notion, or Jesus, or God, or Buddha, or Jehovah, or Yahweh, etc...than damn them all!
